French Foreign Legion band

2011

The history of the orchestra begins when Louis Philippe, the King of France, creates the Foreign Legion in 1831. At these times the number of musicians in a military orchestra was restricted and consisted of a chief conductor, assistant conductor and 27 musicians.

North West Region Army Band

2010

The North West Region Army Band (Musique de la région terre Nord-Ouest) preserves the military musical heritage of Brittan by displaying its regional origins through the use of a typical and representative instrument : the bagpipes.

Band and Honor Guard of the Republican Guard of France

2009

The Republican Guard created by Napoleon is the last cavalry unit of the Armed Forces of France. The Guard unit is stationed in the ancient barracks in the centre of Paris. It is part of the National Gendarmerie providing security of the residences of the President and Prime Minister, the National Assembly, etc.
