The International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower – 2010”

The annual International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” was hosted from the 4th to 9th of September 2010 on the Red Square in Moscow. According to the Russian and foreign media, audience, guests and participants of the Festival, "Spasskaya Tower" - is the biggest event ever held within the grounds of the Red Square, which undoubtedly can be attributed to one of the highlights of cultural life in Russia.

 

International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower – 2009”

The “Spasskaya Tower” Festival is something more than traditional military tattoo. Military bands play here military marches along with masterpieces of classical music and Beatles hits. For the first time a legendary singer Mireille Mathieu performs in Red Square to the accompaniment of more than 1000 musicians. A concert of Russian and foreign opera stars takes place in Kremlin.

 

International Military Music Festival “Kremlin Zorya - 2007”

“Kremlin Zorya” was one of the most important cultural events in contemporary Russian history. It was an organic combination of different styles and genres such as military, classical and folk music, marching of military bands, dance shows, military historical performances and manual of arms demonstration.

 

Shows of State Honour Guards units

For the first time within the framework of the Days of the City of Moscow shows of State Honour Guards took place on Poklonnaya hill. Shows were accompanied by famous military bands. This performance was organised with support from the Committee for Tourism of the Moscow City Government and the Guild of Purveyors to the Kremlin.
